They don't know the future I have seen
So cry for the dawning of the end

Vision one

Am I part of a spreading fire?

His first vision was of fire. It was starving amassment of red tongues that rose and fell and sliced through the air in search of destruction. The flames fed off the home, consuming all and leaving behind nothing but charred fragments of what had once been life. Reusir screamed visceral screams of one who witnesses what cannot be comprehended nor explained. The fire had not been his first vision, but rather the first he could articulate and remember and the vision that made his parents believe their child's behaviour was beyond abnormal. The vision of fire was the one that made the village realise they had found their new prophet.

Vision two

We hide beneath the eyes of fear

The Eye of Sol is a holy symbol frequently re-created on buildings and clothing. The primary circle represents Sol's eye, with the line crossing through it being Sol's watchful gaze over the horizon. The other two circles represent Sol's daughters, Nova and Umbra, as they circle around the world.

Sol is the world's creator. Once created, he retired to the sun to watch earth from afar. At night Sol retires, leaving his two daughters, Nova and Umbra to watch over humanity from the two moons - of which only one can be present at one time. All three deities are worshipped. Nova is the one who blesses the earth's gifts; temples in her honour are visited to ask for bountiful harvests and successful hunts. On the other hand, Umbra blesses the humans who inhabit this earth. Her temples are visited to ask for health and happiness. It is tradition for expecting mothers to visit Umbra's temples.

Religion is a key aspect to society. Blasphemy - either in the form of disdain for the gods or lack of participation in rituals - is a serious crime. While non-believing is acceptable in foreigners, nationals who do not believe are treated as blasphemous and judged as such.

The Sight is born into this world every few decades. A Sighted can be born to any family but there can only ever be one alive at any time. Sol gives the sighteds their powers, their vision which enable them to see flashes of past events and events that are to come unless something is done to prevent them. However, the visions granted by the Sight regard what regular people and places the sighted is currently seeing, hence why no visions can take place if a sighted is asleep or not looking at anything. Although not worshipped, sighteds are believed to have a deeper connection to Sol - their powers are essential as they can prevent disasters.

Divination plays a vital role in religious ceremonies. The movement of wild crows is believed to be Sol's way of communicating with earth's inhabitants; domestic crows are kept by oracles in temples and too aid in fortune-telling.

Reusir did not stop at building walls around himself - he built a castle. Timid and reserved to a fault, he has about the same presence as air, which suits Reusir fine as, unsurprisingly, he would rather avoid social situations as a whole. He is a harsh judge of character who does not trust other. What might be surprising - given his absolute lack of charisma - is that when comfortable, Reusir can make intelligent, insightful conversation; a lot of it too.

Not interested in etiquette and complex social cues, Reusir tries to live by a simple set of rules which revolve simply around being polite - what sabotages these attempts however, is his tendency towards holding grudges. Bitter and resentful, Reusir clings to the past. His obsession with the past is not only negative however, Reusir is also frequently nostalgic (though his childhood was rather miserable and there is not much to be nostalgic about), to the point that sometimes remembering how much better regarded he was by society emotionally paralyses him, making Reusir unable to do anything but wallow in self-pity for days on end. He is a creature of habit who, when faced with change, is prone to panic.
